I really wanted to like this, and at first I thought maybe I just needed to tweak a few things. But honestly? The mixes still sound off. Like, I’ll be listening and thinking it’s almost there, then suddenly something feels weird or unbalanced and it kind of ruins it for me. Disappointing.

I really like the idea behind Sonarworks, and the setup wasn’t too bad. Once it’s running, it can be useful for mixing and checking how things translate. But the latency has been a real problem for me. Even after messing with buffer settings, it still feels delayed when I’m tracking vocals or playing guitar, which makes it hard to use in real time. Compared to some other room correction or monitoring tools I’ve tried, this one feels less practical during recording. For mixing, it’s fine, but if you’re expecting to track through it smoothly, it might be frustrating. I just wish they were more upfront about that before I paid for it.

At first I was kind of confused by the setup and the whole profiles thing, so I figured it was going to be a pain to use. But after messing with it for one evening, it suddenly made sense enough, even though I probably still don’t use every feature right. Now I end up using it on pretty much every mix, which is funny because I almost thought it was too complicated at the start. Really happy with it overall

I bought this thinking it’d be no big deal, but yeah, turns out the version I needed doesn’t really work right with my operating system. The installer was kind of a mess, and I ended up wasting time digging through forums instead of actually using the software. The support info wasn’t super clear either, which made it even more frustrating. compatibility feels like the first thing that should just work, so this was annoying.

I got it set up without too much hassle, which was nice. I was totally calm the whole time, definitely not staring at the screen waiting for something to go wrong. Overall, it went smoothly.

I’m not totally sure what all the settings are doing, but after using the frequency correction, my headphones definitely sound flatter and less hyped. My mixes seem to carry over better now, at least from what I’ve checked so far.

It works fine with the headphone profiles they already have, and I do like the idea overall. But my backup pair still isn’t listed, which is frustrating because I feel like I’m not getting the full value out of it unless all my headphones are supported. If you use a less common model, you might feel like you’re missing out a bit. Good app, I just really wish the coverage was more complete.

I’m annoyed with the support. I opened a ticket because I was having an issue with my license, and then basically sat around for days with no real answer. When they finally did reply, it was just some generic copy-paste response that didn’t fix anything. What a joke. After paying for the software, I expected way better than this

I don’t know how this is okay, but the menus feel really messy and slow. It takes longer than it should to find anything, and the whole experience just feels clunky

It did work in the end, but yeah... I had to fiddle with it a bit first. Not a huge deal, just one of those things where you try a couple different ways and then suddenly it clicks. Once I got it sorted, it worked fine.

I actually like this a lot when it’s working, which is saying something because getting it set up with my audio interface was not exactly a smooth ride. My Focusrite handled it fine, but my older interface kept throwing driver and sample rate issues like it had a personal grudge.

The support pages were somewhat helpful, in that charming “you’ll still be guessing a little” kind of way. Once everything clicked, the sound correction was genuinely nice, but I do wish the compatibility info was clearer before buying

My payment went through in the end, but the checkout process felt slow. I was just sitting there waiting with no updates, so it felt like I was being ignored a bit

I used sonarworks to measure my speakers, and it did make my room sound a little better. The step-by-step setup is easy to understand, and once I got into it, the mic positions weren’t hard to follow. But for some reason the whole thing still felt slower than it should. I had to redo a couple measurements because it didn’t like the level or where I had the mic, even though it seemed close enough to me. So yeah, it works, and I guess that’s what matters, but I was expecting the process to feel a bit smoother.

The license did work in the end, so no issues there. The only thing is the activation process felt a little confusing at first, especially figuring out exactly where to enter the key. Once I got past that step, everything was fine...

Sonarworks definitely made my room feel more balanced, especially in the low end. Before I started using it, my mixes were kind of hit or miss when I played them elsewhere, so I do think it helped me get a better sense of what was actually going on.

That said, it didn’t magically solve everything. Sometimes the correction felt a little heavy-handed to me, though maybe that’s just because my room has some weird spots or my setup isn’t ideal. I still had to tweak things and trust my ears, but overall it’s a useful tool as long as you don’t expect perfection.

I bought this mainly because I wanted to play around with target curve customization, but it ended up being frustrating. I thought I’d be able to fine-tune the sound the way I wanted, but this is where it got annoying: the software felt like it was working against me the whole time. For the price, I expected a lot more control and a smoother experience. I spent way too much time tweaking things and still wasn’t happy with how it sounded

What makes it more frustrating is that it feels like there are always policy loopholes that leave the customer stuck dealing with the problem instead of getting a real fix. I wasn’t expecting a huge difference because I’m kind of burned out from trying one fix after another, but this actually made my speakers sound way more balanced. Mixing feels easier now and there’s a lot less guessing involved. Relieved, and really happy with it.

Saving presets is easy, honestly. I didn’t have to mess around much to figure it out, and it makes using everything a lot more convenient.
